I thought small ships aren't capable of hyperspace on their own.
Oh, well - not that familliar with the universe.

OK - a senator that expects to be arrested and makes plans for escape. Nice, what next?

I have more planned, but it will probably get more interesting when he catches up with the game. This is just a way of developing the character before I play him. Actually, there is quite a bit more going on than it looks like, but if you manage to work it out, I'll be amazed, and don't post it up here, because you'll ruin it for the others (and for me because I'll be playing him!), but you can PM me.

Btw, this stuff takes time to come out because it all has to be checked by Findtherma - it is his game, so I don't want to contradict anything. As for the ship, most ships are capable of hyperspace, except things like TIE fighters, which are really small, but even X wings are (and I only know that from the ships book for the game, not from the films, although I think Luke goes into hyperspace in an X wing at one point).

Not that familiar with the universe on both counts.

About the ships - I was just watching SW episode 3 the other day and it stuck to my mind that there were those rigs in orbit to let a small ship go into hyperspace, and it occured to me that any sensible captain would blow that thing up rather than let the suspect get away. Also the fact that the ship was hidden sugest it wasn't very big. Still - if even small ships can go to hyperspace it's ok.

I think the rings were for the Jedis' ships - I think later ships had the hyperdrives built in like the X wings.

Thats right, he goes to Dagobah and back by hyperspace in his XWing
From below the dragon dark comes forth,
Nithhogg flying from Nithafjoll;
The bodies of men on his wings he bears
(Section from the Voluspa)
