Metallica vs. Megadeth

Postby KronKron » July 28th, 2005, 9:09 am

Loads of people say that Metallica's Master of Puppets(the song) was actually written by Dave Mustaine before 'leaving'/'being kicked out of' (this is another point of contention, whether he resigned or got kicked out), and that other songs were actually written mostly Mustaine and stolen by Metallica. The ongoing feud between Metallica and Dave Mustaine seems likely to carry on for a long time? Any thoughts? Personally I think it's possible that songs were written by Mustaine, because in Metallica's early years, Mustaine was the most talented member of Metallica.

Metallica win hands down as far as i'm concerned, i don't actually think Mustaine was overly talented, but that's just my opinion. The greatest song ever performed by Metallica has got to be the full version of ONE, a true classic if ever i've heard one!

I don't really like either Metallica or Megadeth. Mustaine wasn't overly talented, but he was obviously more talented than Metallica at that time, as they hired him after hearing him doing the soundtest, not even listening to the demo or auditioning him properly.

Mustaine is a terrible singer, but the band isn't bad.

I think Metallica over Megadeath, but Mustaine probably was the most talented to start with...

They're both good but Metallica is better overall.

My post actually looks more bitter than it was intended to be. I like Metallica (ok, not one of my favourites) because they are really talented. Megadeth is more heavy and depressing. I can understand why a lot of people don't like them.
