No!

I've read the books. They're a nice sunday afternoon read, but nothing I would reread again and again and again and ... so I'm not very emotional about them, but Tom Hanks is definitely NOT Robert Langdon.
It's only because the book was a bestseller and so is Tom Hanks.

I think you will find Tom Hanks is a proper actor, not like brad pitt and Matt Damon who should be serving me my pizzas or packing my groceries. I like Tom and i think he willl pull it off, you would understand if you had seen Band Of Brothers.

whoa there, pickle. i like tom hanks aswell, one of the most watchable actors working today, but we're all friends here. no arguments. whoever reckons hanks isn't a good actor hasn't been paying attention. simple as that. that said, however, i think brad pitt is a good actor, too. watch fight club and you should understand.
ok, we're all calm. anyone fancy a pint?

yeah i saw oceans twelve aswell, and it WAS bloody awful. must admit to a guilty pleasure in enjoying the mexican, though. he and julia roberts worked very well together, i thought. not that bad a film, either.
i haven't read the book, like i said, but hanks is a committed, hard working actor, so i would have to say i think he could pull anything off.
al buy you that pint next time we all decide to meet up, 'cos i will be there with bells on, all things being equal and all that. what's your poison?

Brad Pitt is a fantastic actor.

All you need to do is watch Fight Club and Twelve Monkeys to see that.

He does have a habit of getting cast in some crappy parts though.

I saw a trailer for it that didn't actually tell anything or show anything. I'm intrigued because so many people like the book. I want to see the movie first because it sounds like one of those books that can't be translated properly to cinema.

1. I never said Tom Hanks wasn't a proper actor

2. I would also like to have my pizza delivered by Brad Pitt...

3. Tom Hanks just isn't Robert Langdon for me (I imagined him rather Liam Neesonish)

4. I'm not a small (and admittedly delicious) red fruit. ;-)
